Davin has been a tango dancer since 2006, and a DJ since 2012. He started collecting tango on vinyl purely for personal reasons at first, but a good friend motivated him to try DJing with records back in 2017, and now it is his preferred way to play at milongas and festivals. There is so much sonic richness to the experience of listening to tango directly from the vinyl and shellac records made long ago. They have helped him to listen more critically, to learn more about the science and art of sound reproduction, and to think more creatively and intensely as a DJ.
